5 Things I Love // 2

It's countdown to baby number two over here (I'll be 38 weeks on Wednesday) and I'm in full nesting mode when I'm not making sweeping changes at work because, why would I ever make things easy for myself? We've made some awesome progress on my house to-do list (kitchen back splash and bathroom decor) but now we just have to wait until we can actually open the windows to do some painting projects. At some point we are redoing the bathroom into a double sink situation but that can wait until after the baby is here (or so my husband tells me). So now we wait, I wash things and make extras of dinners to freeze and hope I can get things on autopilot at work for a couple months. Here's five things I'm loving lately as we hunker down and wait to meet this baby girl:  Special time with the one who made me a Mama . As soon as I saw that positive sign on my pregnancy test and felt the thrill of getting to bring another baby into our family my thoughts immedia...

5 Things I Love // 1

I love a lot of things and I really like to share these things, so I am starting a new weekly post just to talk and share and maybe hear about what other people love. Love it! On to much less meaningful things now: five things I am totally digging. 1. Nars blush in Orgasm . I have had this on my to-buy list for ages and was forced urged by my husband to finally buy it Saturday afternoon before a date night. I love it. It is the perfect color, the perfect amount of shimmer and actually lasts the whole day. Sold. 2. Bastille Kitchen in Fort Point. Spea...

Happy Friday!

We made it! I had one of those weeks where I consistently thought it was a day later than it really was, so of course now that it is Friday the day seems to be dragging on. This week has been rough - not feeling well Monday, a snowstorm Wednesday and then last night I had a terrible allergic reaction to something. I woke up at 3:30 this morning with my face itching and burning and when I finally admitted that I couldn't fall back asleep I got up to take a look in the mirror and the reflection was just awful. I looked like one of those dried out apple head dolls and my eyelids were so swollen that it looked like I had been on a bender/crying for a week. I think that it had to do with mixing Retin-A with the face lotion I have been using, but whatever it is I am seriously done with Retin-A and my dermatologist. I have not been blessed with good skin and have never really found a good regimen; anyone have any good suggestions? I have super dry skin in the winter and am prone to b...
